BA/MA/DA/SEP: Predicting manufacturing success: Constraint Optimization vs. Baysian Inference

If something goes wrong in a modern factory (for example, a cutter/drill breaks), how does this influence products currently being manufactured? Which ones are likely to be harmed, which are not affected? Can we continue production, or must the factory be stopped? We develop Artificial Intelligence methods to help answer these questions. Currently, we've developed two solutions. The task of this thesis is to prepare the ground for a comparison of the two solutions. A translator shall be developed to translate problem descriptions for solution 1 into those for solution 2.
